These events not only fostered learning and the adoption of innovative techniques but also reinforced connections within the medical community.
Ultrasound workshops are beneficial for healthcare professionals to develop proficiency in using ultrasound for various purposes, such as increasing the visualisation of the internal body structures and tissues and aiding in more precise and faster diagnosis in critical care settings.
Recently, at the 2025 Singapore ENT-HNS Congress, idsMED Singapore’s Imaging team provided support to healthcare professionals in two medical fields: Otolaryngology (also known as ENT: Ear, Nose, and Throat) and Obstetrics-Gynaecology (OB-GY). By facilitating hands-on learning with the ultrasound equipment, idsMED reinforced meaningful and friendly relationships with the medical community.
Organised by the Singapore ENT Society (SOHNSS) in collaboration with the ASEAN Rhinologic Society, Society of Aesthetic Medicine, and the ASIAN Centre of Aesthetics and Surgery, the Congress gathered national and international leaders, specialists, trainees, and allied health professionals in the field of Otolaryngology.
Featuring expert-led discussions, engaging lectures and opportunities to forge lasting connections with leading professionals in ENT, the SOHNSS aims to promote cooperative activities among Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (O-HNS) specialists and organise scientific meetings, academic discussions and other activities to promote the advancement of O-HNS, among other responsibilities.
The SGH-MedAiD & SOHNSS Hands-on Ultrasound and Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation Workshop was organised in addition to the main congress.
SGH-MedAiD & SOHNSS Hands-on Ultrasound and Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation Workshop
On 5 April 2025, idsMED Singapore’s participation in the SGH-MedAiD & SOHNSS Hands-on Ultrasound and Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation Workshop provided opportunities for participants to experience product demonstrations and stay updated about the innovative technological advancements, at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium.
Focused on advancements in thyroid ultrasound and non-invasive ablation technologies to improve patient outcomes, the workshop featured three hands-on sessions:
- Radiofrequency Ablation
- Ultrasound Neck
- Ultrasound Guided FNA/Core Biopsy
MedAiD’s Ultrasound Hands-on Workshops on Myoma Phantom
On 8 and 9 April 2025, idsMED Singapore’s Imaging team provided support to obstetricians and interventional radiologists during the MedAiD’s Ultrasound Hands-on Workshops on Myoma Phantom at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
A Myoma Phantom is a model or simulation that replicates the anatomical features of the uterus and uterine fibroids. It is used in medical settings for training and practice purposes, particularly for procedures involving uterine fibroids.
With this collaboration, teams from MedAiD and idsMED took this wonderful opportunity to forge lasting connections and understand the industry’s needs as the professionals share their insights and expertise.
