Robotic Technology Highlighted at Siriraj Hospital Surgical Meeting

On 6–7 August 2026, idsMED Thailand established its first Robotics Team booth at the 109th Annual Meeting of the Department of Surgery, Siriraj Hospital, themed “Global Surgery 2026: Equity and Academic Collaboration”. The booth introduced Edge Robotics alongside selected surgical and critical care solutions, strengthening idsMED’s presence and engagement within Thailand’s surgical community.

On 6–7 August 2026, idsMED Thailand established its first Robotics Team booth at the 109th Annual Meeting of the Department of Surgery, held in the Ratchapanadda Sirindhorn Room at Siriraj Hospital. The meeting, themed “Global Surgery 2026: Equity and Academic Collaboration”, brought together members of the surgical community to exchange knowledge and discuss developments in surgical care.

The booth marked an important milestone for idsMED Thailand’s Robotics Team, providing a platform to introduce Edge Medical’s robotic surgical systems to surgeons and healthcare professionals at one of Thailand’s leading academic medical centres. The 2 × 2 metre booth featured an MSP2000 backdrop and showcased Edge Robotics alongside selected healthcare solutions, including GE Ultrasound, Nihon Kohden monitors and InnoQ consumable products.

Throughout the two-day event, the Robotics Team worked alongside idsMED Thailand’s wider sales teams to engage with visitors and introduce the company’s expanding capabilities in robotic-assisted surgery. Discussions focused on Edge Robotics and its potential applications, while also highlighting idsMED’s broader portfolio of medical technologies and solutions supporting surgical and clinical care.

The booth welcomed several healthcare professionals from the hospital and wider surgical community, including Associate Professor Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Head of General Surgery at Siriraj Hospital and Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. His visit provided an opportunity for the team to engage with a senior member of Thailand’s surgical community and exchange perspectives on developments in surgical technology.

The successful launch of the first Robotics Team booth at Siriraj Hospital represents an important step in idsMED Thailand’s efforts to build awareness of Edge Robotics and strengthen engagement with the country’s surgical community. It also reflects the team’s continued focus on developing clinical relationships and supporting the growing adoption of robotic-assisted surgery in Thailand.
