Celebrating the Year of the Wood Snake: idsMED Singapore’s CNY 2025 Celebration

On 10 February 2025, idsMED Singapore celebrated Chinese New Year (CNY) in style to mark the start of the Year of the Wood Snake. The office buzzed with excitement as employees gathered in the idsMED Office Lounge for the much-anticipated event.

The celebration began with a warm speech from Mr. Ben Chang, Group CEO and Founding Partner, who reflected on the previous year and shared his vision for a prosperous year ahead. He commended the employees for their good work and encouraged them to continue pressing on with strength and unity as the company continues to grow and move forward.

The first highlight of the event was the traditional Lion Dance, meant to bring good luck and fortune to the office. The performance drew the enthusiasm of all employees, who gathered together to watch the captivating and impressive stunts of the lion dancers. Employees also eagerly followed and interacted with the “lions” as they roamed the office to spread good fortune to every corner. The “lions” peeled oranges left out for them and handed out four-digit “lucky numbers”, adding a fun and lively touch to the festivities.

Employees then gathered at the idsMED Learning Academy, around tables laid out with platters of Lohei – a symbolic dish representing unity and prosperity. They tossed the ingredients together while passionately chanting well wishes for the new year, sharing much laughter and camaraderie.

Lunch, catered by Chili Manis, offered a delightful spread for everyone to enjoy. As employees ate and mingled, Mr. Ben Chang also took the opportunity to personally distribute angpaos (red envelopes) to all employees as a gesture of appreciation and good fortune.

This year, the HR team introduced a scratch card lucky draw with CapitaLand vouchers as prizes. Hoping to win, employees eagerly scratched their cards, adding an extra layer of fun to the celebration.

This CNY 2025 celebration wrapped up in a joyful and festive atmosphere. It was a wonderful reflection of the company’s values of community, prosperity, and good fortune, providing the perfect start to the Year of the Wood Snake.
