Technical Training On Treatment Of Bradycardia Disorder For Young Doctors

idsMED Vietnam, Abbott, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS), the Vietnam Heart Association and the Vietnam Heart Institute organized the first training program in Vietnam with the topic: Bradycardia and Basics of Pacing Hands-on Workshop.

The training course gives young doctors the chance to access to the latest techniques in the treatment of bradycardia disorders, especially pacemaker implantation procedures.

“Along with the development of the cardiovascular industry in general, specialized sectors such as cardiovascular intervention, bradycardia in particular, in addition to understanding the disease, doctors need to continuously improve the skills to perform the surgery perfectly. The course combines lectures and practice, especially meaningful for young Doctors, who haven’t had much experience,” Assoc. Dr. Pham Manh Hung, Director of the Vietnam Heart Institute shared.

More than 20 doctors from provinces across the country listened to the sharing of India’s leading expert on pace-making - Dr. Anil Saxena, Director of Heart Beat & Electrophysiology, Fortort Escorts Heart Institute together many leading experts in Vietnam.

At the same time, young doctors also have the opportunity to practice on the model and get into the operation room to observe the implantation of pacemaker on patients. The surgery uses Abbott’s Endurity MRI ™ pacemaker, which is distributed by idsMED in Vietnam.

At the end of the course, participants will return to their hospitals, perform the procedure directly on the patient, then report back to the APHRS to be able to receive the CME of the Association. .
