idsMED Vietnam and Steelco Conduct Workshop on “Solutions and Advances in Endoscopy Tube Sterilisation”

On 9-10 August 2023, idsMED Vietnam partnered with Steelco for the workshop on "Solutions and Advances in Endoscopy Tube Sterilisation" at idsMED Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Branch and Hanoi Branch. The event gathered 85 doctors and nurses from hospitals in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and neighbouring provinces.

At the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Anh Thu, Ph.D., Chairman of the Vietnam Infection Control Association presented a report titled: "Regulations on Handling Endoscopic Instruments at Medical Facilities". Mr. JunHoow Chia, Steelco brand representative, soon followed with updates about "Solutions and Advances in Endoscopy Tube Sterilisation Today at Medical Facilities Around the World".

In part 3 of the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, Ph.D., Vice President of the Vietnam Infection Control Association reported on "Updates and Guidance on the Model of Centralised Sterilisation Unit for Medical Instruments and Equipment at Medical Facilities".

The Q&A session that followed was a lively discussion by speakers and participants about specific cases of infection control applications in general and the handling of endoscopic instruments in hospitals in particular.
