Introduction of Plasma Blades to the City Children’s Hospital

On 9 April 2021, idsMED Vietnam and Medtronic introduced the Plasma Blades to doctors of the Ear, Nose and Throat department and the Surgery department of the City Children’s Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. These doctors had the opportunity to learn about the advanced features, models, and utilities of the products and practice using plasma blades in VA curettage and tonsil cutting.

Currently, these experts have shown interest in the plasma method, which has been evaluated as a highly effective method in VA surgery because of its high safety and active support to help surgeons. It can quickly stop bleeding, minimise high temperature compared to the traditional electrosurgery methods, and cause lesser burns in the surrounding areas to help patients recover faster after surgery.
