The Care area of Patient Support System (PSS) in Indonesia, just participated in 4th Jakarta Annual Meeting on Clinical Nutrition (JAMCN) held at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta on September 9-10, 2017. This annual event is organized by Association of Physician Clinical Nutritionist Specialist, Jakarta Branch (PDGKI JAYA) with programs of Symposium, Workshop Sessions & Booth Exhibition. JAMCN was aimed for Physician Clinical Nutrition Specialist and General Practitioner (GP) who are Clinical Nutritionist Residents and other Specialty Doctors with an interest of Nutrition.
idsMED Indonesia participated in all programs for this 2-day-event. As for the speakers, we had Dr. Michael Maisch - SECA’s Chief Medical Advisor from Germany to share the Importance of Body Composition in patients’ medical treatment during the Symposium session on the first day which attended by 450 participants continued with live demo of body composition measurement. After symposium session, the programs continued with 2 workshop classes for General Practitioner (GP) and Physician Clinical Nutrition Specialist (Sp. GK). In Workshop class for GP, we had Dr. dr. Samuel Oetoro, M.S, Sp. GK (K) and Dr. dr. Inge Permadhi, M.S, Sp. GK (K) and in Workshop class for Physician Clinical Nutrition Specialist, we had Dr. Victor Tambunan, MS, Sp.GK (K) to conduct the workshop where several cases of Patients in needs of Pharmacology, Nutrition and Exercise treatment for their medical conditions, were intensively discussed.
SECA medical Body Composition Analyzer (mBCA) measures Body Composition – Fat, Water and Muscle, in standing and lying position. SECA mBCA 514 for standing position & SECA mBCA 525 for lying position. It’s using Bio Electrical Impedance (BIA) Analysis where very low electricity is sent to all over the body to measure the resistance and reactance and gives body composition information as the result. The measurement only takes less than 1 minute with print-out result to give better way for the interpretation.
This event succeeded to have 290 General Practitioners consisted of General Practitioners (GP) & General Practitioner (GP) who are Clinical Nutritionist Residents s and 160 Physician Clinical Nutrition Specialist, coming from all over Indonesia – will be followed up to create new opportunity for this product in the near future.
