Organized by the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital’s Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit in collaboration with SingHealth Duke-NUS OBGYN Academic Clinical Programme and the Asia-Pacific Association of Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE), this year’s APAGE Regional Congress took place from 23-27 July 2019.

This year’s theme of Controversies in Minimally Invasive Surgery looked at advances in minimally invasive surgery and challenges in more complicated cases such as cases of large uteri, frozen pelvis from endometriosis, severe adhesions from previous surgery and advanced pelvic cancers. Live surgeries were performed by Dr Kim Tae Joong and Dr Sun Ching-Hsien. The congress acts as a platform for medical professionals to share their experiences on techniques and approaches in challenging surgeries. To that end, our Surgical team participated and shared idsMED’s innovative solutions and new technologies.
