Developing Neuroprotective Care in NICU, RSCM

Caring for our customer has always been our first and foremost priority thus, on July 7-8^th 2018, idsMED Indonesia organized a seminar called Developing Neuroprotective Care in The NICU: Do We Care? at Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM), Jakarta. During this opportunity, idsMED invited several renowned doctors from their perspective field to talk about the importance of NICU and brain injury in newborn babies. The topics of conversations were:

1. Mechanisms of brain injury
2. Brain monitoring and neuroprotection in NICU
3. Therapeutic hypothermia for HIE babies
4. The role of NICU nurses in implementing therapeutic hypothermia
5. Neurodevelopmental care and positioning
6. Identification of neonatal cerebral injuries by Cerebral US and MRI
7. Developmental screening of high-risk newborn infants

The two-day workshops were guided by three NATUS representatives, Judy Moore, Senior International Clinical Marketing Manager; Samuel Mani, Clinical Application Manager APAC, NBC and Julian Nair, International Regional Manager ASEAN (India subcontinent). Brain Monitoring OBM NATUS was being used in the workshops thus, pediatrician and nurses from all parts of Indonesia were able to gain more knowledge about the proper way to care for new born or premature babies particularly on monitoring their brain functions and development.
