Hartalega’s Training Visit to idsMED Taiwan

Hartalega representative, Belle Ng, visited idsMED Taiwan to showcase their products and gather feedback from the medical facilities there. The 3-day visit opened opportunities for idsMED to market Hartalega gloves which were found to be of better quality than those currently in use in the market.

Belle Ng, Business Development – Sales & Export of Hartalega in Malaysia made a 3-day business trip to idsMED Taiwan on 16 - 18 February 2023. During this trip, Belle visited 4 clients and conducted a training session on product knowledge and selling skills.

On 16 February, Belle Ng together with Jason Hsu (General Manager in Taiwan), Charles Yang (Manager II - Medical Products), and Jane Ke (Management Trainee) visited Dr. Su, the Director of Emperor Dental Clinic to market the Hartalega gloves. Dr. Su expressed satisfaction with the quality of the GloveOn glove and agreed to try it out in their 5 clinics with the dentists providing feedback via an evaluation form.



On the next day, 17 February, Belle together with Sara Yeh (Sr. Sales Specialist), York Lin (Sales Specialist), and Charles visited several medical facilities including the Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital where they met Mr. Wu, the Chief of the GI – Gastrointestinal Surgery Department, and the E-Da Dachang Hospital, to meet Ms. Chen in Meta Division.

Later, Albert Yang (Manager I – Sales) also invited Belle and Charles to visit CSSD - Central Sterile Supply Department in Ditmanson Medical Foundation Chia-Yi Christian Hospital.





During their visits, the Hartalega team found that the quality of their product, the Hartalega NBR glove, was highly regarded compared to what was being used in other facilities. This revealed a significant market opportunity. Additionally, they learned that there was a need for the long cuff NBR glove by specific departments and this prompted idsMED Taiwan to register their Maverick LC glove.

Finally, the team recognized the need to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills, so Charles arranged a training session for the FSS team with Belle on 18 February.

The visit to CSSD led to a better understanding of the need for the long cuff NBR glove and steps have been taken to register it. At the same time, upgrading the FSS team on product knowledge is important for them to educate our clients on the benefits and differences of this new product. With a better quality product and increased awareness, idsMED Taiwan is confident it can continue to meet the needs and expectations of its customers.
