Eyes are often called the windows to the soul—and for good reason. They’re how we connect with the world around us, from interpreting social cues and reading digital screens to sharing a smile with someone we love. Our eyes allow us to see and truly experience life’s beauty, so giving them the care they need helps ensure we continue enjoying the world clearly and comfortably for years to come.

Here are three simple ways to protect and maintain good eye health:

  1. Avoid rubbing your eyes and make a habit of practising good hand hygiene to prevent irritation or infection.
  2. Shield your eyes from the sun by wearing sunglasses or a hat when outdoors.
  3. Follow good screen habits—keep a proper distance from your monitor and apply the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

With just a few simple daily habits, you can help keep your eyes healthy and your vision bright for years to come. After all, these “windows to the world” deserve care and attention so you can continue to see, connect, and appreciate life’s moments to the fullest.
