The Singapore Nurses Association (SNA) – Infection Control Nurses Chapter (ICNC) successfully organised a seminar themed “Balancing Safety and Sustainability in Healthcare Settings”, supported by Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and idsMED Singapore.
Held on 18 October 2025 at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital Auditorium, the event brought together over 200 nurses from public and private healthcare institutions across Singapore. idsMED Singapore was proud to sponsor this meaningful platform for sharing insights and best practices in infection prevention and control.
At the seminar, the idsMED Infection Control team showcased a range of advanced solutions from Ansell, Ecolab, and Terragene, designed to enhance safety and sustainability in clinical environments. Highlights included:
- Ansell PI-KARE™ Technology – hands-on demonstration of accelerator-free gloves with low dermatitis potential.
 
- Ecolab Actichlor Plus Launch – a dual-action chlorine disinfectant tablet for efficient cleaning and disinfection.
 
- Terragene Photon – a 7-second steam biological monitoring system for rapid sterilisation validation.
 
Participants also gained valuable knowledge from expert speakers, including Ms. Lavinia Lopez (Ecolab), Ms. Tan Li Yen (Ansell), and Prof. Ling Moi Lin, Director of Infection Prevention (SingHealth) & Director of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology (SGH), who presented on Water Management in Healthcare Settings.
