The 2019 Vietnam Organ Transplant Sciences Conference

With the outstanding capacity of healthcare, serving and treating more than 1,000,000 patients per year – more than 30,000 surgeries per year, Military Central Hospital 108 and Vietnam Organ Transplantation Association co-organized “THE 2019 VIETNAM ORGAN TRANSPLANT SCIENCES CONFERENCE” at Military Central Hospital 108 from November 7^th to November 9^th.

On November 7^th, a satellite seminar was held with the participation of doctors nationwide. The best one was the presentation of Chau Quy Thuan, M.D – Urology department – Cho Ray Hospital, which was presented on” The kidney transplant surgery” (brain-dead kidney donor).

During the conference, the 2019 Vietnam - Korea Organ Transplant Seminar also took place in 2 days. There were 2 outstanding discourses, the first one was presented by Curie Ahn - General Secretary of Asian Organ Transplant Association with the theme “Developing systems for self-healing in organ transplantation in Korea” and the second one was about “How to manage and use the national organ transplant data for policy-making”, presented by speaker, Jong Cheol Jeong – Department of Internal Medicine - Seoul National University Bundang Hospital.

On September 8^th, “THE 2019 VIETNAM ORGAN TRANSPLANT SCIENCES CONFERENCE” officially opened. With 39 qualified scientific reports, the conference was expected to be an opportunity for the physicians to exchange knowledge and open up the new opportunities as well as discovery of research and clinical in organ transplantation.
