In the afternoon of 17 October, idsMED Vietnam, in collaboration with Fujifilm and Philips, organized the Workshop on “Updating the ultrasound advances in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer; The role of mammography in screening and diagnosis of mammary gland pathology”at Quang Ninh General Hospital. The seminar attracted the participation of more than 80 participants who are leaders of the Department of Health, leaders of hospitals, Medical Centers and doctors currently working in Quang Ninh province.

To open the ceremony, Dr. Trinh Van Manh, Director of Quang Ninh General Hospital said: “Today’s seminar deals with issues that are not new but need to be constantly updated with modern medical advances to raise doctors’ level in medical examination and treatment activities. At the same time, the knowledge gained through the course also contributes to create a foundation for future scientific topics of the hospital. By the way, I would like to express my sincere thanks to our sponsor - idsMED - for helping the hospital to organize this interesting and supportive program today.”

The highlight of the seminar was a presentation about ultrasound in thyroid cancer and the role of mammography in the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer presented by Dr. Tran Van Riep (Head of Department of diagnostic imaging – The 108 Central Military Hospital) and Dr. Nguyen Thu Huong (Radiology Center - Bach Mai Hospital), two leading experts in diagnostic imaging field.
