Indonesian Association of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists or IACA successfully conducted a symposium and workshop in Prama Sanur Beach, Bali on 3rd to 6th of October 2018. This year’s theme – “Improving Safe Anesthesia Practice for Patients with Cardiac Problem: From Urban to Rural Hospital” – reflects the challenges faced by health practitioners related to an increasement in the complexity of heart diseases.

There were several issues brought up in the plenary as well as in the symposium sessions. Generally, this event aims to increase knowledge and technique for anesthesiologist intensivists. Specialists would also learn about the way to develop and manage comprehensive and safe anesthesia for patients with cardiac problems who undergo non-cardiac operation, especially in rural areas in which access to cities or bigger towns is limited.

idsMED Indonesia showed an immense support by providing demo products for the workshops, such as Vascular Set, Biosensor, Mostcare, and many more – including consumable products. idsMED through IACA 2018 hopes to achieve better service in the area of anesthesia by creating a safe and advanced environment for patients.
