idsMED Indonesia Supports Workshops at Neonatal Intravenous Access Training

Laterna Indonesia conducted the “Neonatal Intravenous Access Training” from 3 to 5 May 2024, supporting the SDGs programmes for neonatologists and nurses. idsMED Indonesia supported the workshops on the 2nd and 3rd day of the training which was attended by 15 participants. It also showcased healthcare products at an exhibition booth, aiming to improve newborn care and reduce neonatal mortality rates.

Laterna Indonesia organised the "Neonatal Intravenous Access Training" as part of its support for the SDGs programme. Held from 3 to 5 May 2024 at the Harris Hotel & Convention in Bandung, the theme of the event was "Improving the Quality of Care for Newborns to Support Sustainable Development Goals”. The training was attended by 60 participants, including neonatologists and nurses.

idsMED Indonesia participated in the event by supporting the workshops on the second and third days of the training. The themes for the workshops were "Placement and Care of Central Intravenous Access - UVC," and "Placement and Care of Central Intravenous Access – PICC”, respectively. A total of 15 participants attended the workshops. In support of the workshops, idsMED provided equipment including Neonatal PICC, Umbilical Catheter, Bionector and Octopus from Vygon.

In addition to the workshops, idsMED Indonesia also set up an exhibition booth, showcasing products from Vygon and the Vein Viewer from Christie.

idsMED hopes that the training will help reduce neonatal mortality rates as access to healthcare resources, especially nurses, is of utmost importance for the appropriate care of newborns.
