idsMED Malaysia successfully held its 5th Annual Healthcare Forum on 23rd May 2017 at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre, Bangsar South. More than 400 participants attended the annual event.

The theme for this year was ‘New Holistic Approach in Driving Quality Outcomes in Healthcare‘. We were truly honored to have Dato Professor Dr. Jeyaindran Tan Sri Sinnadurai; Deputy Director General (Medical) from the Ministry of Health to deliver the keynote speech and shared the future healthcare trend in Malaysia where challenges and strategies from MOH have to overcome.

Dato Dr Hassan Ariff, Anesthesiologist from National Heart Institute was one of the prominent speakers in the general session, in which the Legal Issues in Clinical Practice (Consent) amidst the healthcare industry was pointed out. His session was then followed by En Anwar Anis, who shared his views on the Hospital Designs & Layout-Operators’ Perspective.

This year, the Forum was presented with an interesting live Discussion Panel which discussed various topics on this year’s theme. The Panel was moderated by Dr. Chong Su Lin and featured several distinguished speakers in the healthcare industry as panelists, such as: Dr Lim Ren Jye, Dr Alvin Ng, Dr Kavitha and Dato Dr Rajbans.

Education Tracks

The education tracks were divided into 2 (two) categories: Homecare solutions and Hospital Design. We had 3 (three) topics in each tracks covering Homecare Solutions, Practical Approach for Arranging of Assisted Living, Rehab Pilates, Selected Aspects of Efficient Hospital Design, Paradigm Shift in Imaging and Transforming Service & maintenance Solution. The speakers were very well experienced and had great engagement activities with delegates.

Experience Centre

This year we created a story-telling segment themed ’Circle of Life’ for users to experience our devices through a journey. A total of 6 booths were set up, featuring 6 different stage of life, namely The Beginning (Women & Child Care), Health & Beauty Matters (Beauty Aesthetic), The Surgery (Surgical Workplace), Critical Moment (ICU Solutions) , Road2Recovery (Rehab & Physio) and Home Sweet Home (Homecare Solutions).

With this valuable experience, we are gearing towards the New Holistic Approach in healthcare education and solution provider. We like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our speakers for their contribution to the success of this day. Last but not least, a big thank you to our committee members who has put much effort to ensure the success of this event.
