Farrer Park Hospital’s 10th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2026 was held at One Farrer Hotel, Singapore, on 23 May 2026. Centred on the theme, "Personalising Precision Care with AI", the event brought together healthcare professionals, thought leaders and industry partners to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence and surgical robotics in shaping the future of healthcare.
Led by ASM Chairman Dr Daniel Phang and CME Chairman Dr Eugene Lim, the conference featured discussions on emerging technologies and their impact on clinical practice and patient care.
At the event, idsMED Singapore showcased the Edge Medical Surgical Robotic System – MP1000, highlighting its potential to enhance surgical precision, operational efficiency and patient outcomes. Also featured was the UroMedTech BVS-Pro Ultrasound Bladder Volume Scanner, recognised for its accurate, non-invasive bladder volume assessment capabilities.
Attendees gained valuable insights into robotic-assisted surgery through an on-stage presentation by Dr Png Keng Siang, Senior Consultant Urologist. Dr Png shared his clinical experience with the MP1000 and discussed its potential applications in contemporary surgical practice.
Having performed more than 800 robotic and laparoscopic procedures throughout his career, Dr Png specialises in the management of prostate and kidney cancers, as well as conditions such as benign prostatic enlargement and kidney stones. He is also a founding member and former President of the Robotic Surgery Society of Singapore.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for healthcare professionals, industry experts and partners to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration and discuss the growing convergence of artificial intelligence and robotics in healthcare.
