Previously known as SMM ( Senior Managers Meeting), our annual conference for senior managers is officially launched this year with a new name: AMC (Annual Managers Conference). For the first time in idsMED history, Thailand “the Land of Smiles” was chosen as the host country.
For a period between 19 and 22 April 2018, senior managers from across idsMED Group gathered in Bangkok for a four-day session that covered education tracks, presentations, amazing gala dinner and fun activities. The theme for this year AMC is Own the Customer “A Tsunami Leap”.
The AMC opened with our CEO Ben Chang’s welcoming speech and keynotes at the Millennium Hilton Hotel Bangkok. In his opening address, our CEO shared the idsMED Group’s performance, strategic initiatives, as well as the direction the group must undertake for the next financial year 2018/2019. By calling it ’A Tsunami Leap’, he expressed his hopes and the actions needed for all teams to aim high and go big as one. Following Ben’s address, various country heads gave country overview as well as motivational presentation for all AMC participants.
During the first evening, the participants looking lovely and sharp in their evening dresses and suits enjoyed the amazing view of Bangkok at night on a River Cruise gala dinner through the Chao Praya River. The dinner which also featured ‘Talent Performance’ from each country was a night to remember for all managers!
The second day was about fun, building friendship and leaving a social impact. The day started with an Amazing Race across Bangkok, where the participants immerse and experience in the culture, heritage and history of Bangkok. This was followed by idsMED Community Care activities in Klongtoey area, a district in central Bangkok which long been known for its slum. Here, all managers were expected to play with the kids around the areas, which some of them are orphans. They spent some time making bicycles and drawing the children’s dreams on umbrellas. The activity was ended with enjoying a nice lunch and durian with the local community. Through this kind of activity, the managers were encouraged to always care to others, especially those in needs.
From Top to Bottom, everyone were showing what our brand promise stated "We Care with A Heart, because Your Life Matters".
The third day was filled with idsMED ‘signature’ Education Track for the people by the people. Over the stretch of the day, our colleagues from various countries and functions shared with the group their success stories, new ideas, best practices and latest trends. It was definitely one of the most rewarding and enriching session as we learn from one another on topics which we may not be familiar with.
The third day culminated with the Grand Gala Dinner, where everyone dressed their best along the theme of “Being the First & Last Look” – a crucial element to Own the Customer. The best way to experience what happened that night is to view the short video. Lots of fun and laughter are surely guaranteed.
As this year’s AMC drew to a close, the last day was marked by some managers sharing their thoughts and strategies for each respected department. The key point of this event was that idsMED commits to always strive the best for our customers.
