idsMED Singapore hosted its Annual Country Meeting (ACM) at the Furama City Centre, Singapore on 17 June 2025. Throughout the day, the management team and department representatives were thoroughly engaged in the informative workshop. As the night approached, the entire team assembled at the venue and enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks, fostering connection and comradeship among everyone.

As the ACM day began, hosts Ms. Koh Hui Ying, Senior Clinical Specialist, and Ms. Fatin Umirah, Solutions Specialist, drew everyone’s attention to the screen as they ran through the day’s agenda and shared a few housekeeping rules.

Jumpstarting the morning session and reflecting on the previous year, Mr. Shrikanth Sankar, Managing Director & SVP for Singapore, shared takeaways from Singapore’s performance last year and the strategic direction for the company to execute Budget FY2026. He expressed his gratitude to all team members for their active participation, dedicated groundwork, and for working alongside him for the past three years. He reiterated the importance of adopting a grow-to-win mindset to achieve our shared goal of placing customers at the heart of everything we do, through the impeccable delivery of tailored solutions. In his closing, he exemplified the significance of service and the readiness to be there for one another through a video of the famous American author and inspirational speaker, Mr. Simon Sinek.

Appearing through a video call, Mr. Ben Chang, Group CEO and Founding Partner, shared that the Singapore ACM is the beginning of a series of Country ACMs to kick off our FY2026. He acknowledged that the Singapore team did not have it easy last year. However, several positive indicators suggested that Singapore was poised to lead the group — particularly in Working Capital performance, a more diversified customer base, and an exciting expansion into Medical Logistics.

Moving on, he briefed on the plan to enhance employee wellbeing and the ultimate measure of organisational health through various programmes. He expressed his appreciation for everyone’s hard work and affirmed his belief in each employee’s tenacity and commitment to the company’s success. He hopes to inculcate in the company a sense of accomplishment for the work contributed by every employee. He added that it will be beneficial and transformative for both the employees and the company with the establishment of a learning centre for the products in the industry.

Continuing with the workshop, Mr. Muhammad Ata, SVP – Strategic Front Office (SFO), further illustrated each Country Budget Plan Imperative (BPI). He emphasised the need to execute the BPI as a key action step towards achieving FY2026 budget goals. Using the doughnut shop analogy, he emphasised that the various BPIs are essential for us to manage our business more holistically.

After the morning tea break, the workshop continued with the OPC Leads and Department Heads, Mr. Michael Pan, Director – Medical Solutions; Ms. Eileen Lim, Senior Manager – Imaging, Dental & Clinics; Ms. Jess Kong, Manager – Medical Aesthetics; Mr. Chris Tan, Manager II – Sales; and Mr. Chong Kwek Whee, Deputy Manager – Product & Brand Development sharing notable insights from the success stories as well as the significant discoveries and profound observations for their respective areas.

Moving on to the supporting departments, Mr. Michael Pan shared about the proficient plans laid out in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) unit on behalf of Mr. Ho Choon Leong, Senior Manager – Engineering, joined by Mr. Edward Poon, Senior Manager – Operation & RFM; and Ms. Katherine Teo, Director – Finance, who each touched on how they overcame challenges with adept techniques and excel in their respective areas. Speaking on behalf of the Human Resources (HR) department, Ms. Debbie Wang, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) & SVP – Corporate Human Resources, touched on the various HR engagement activities done in Singapore and reminded everyone of the proud moment of idsMED Singapore’s 4th consecutive year in receiving the HR Asia Award.

Following a delectable lunch, the workshop resumed with group-themed discussions, where participants gathered in their respective teams to share insights and exchange views on the assigned topics. This was followed by group presentations and a plenary session to review and reflect on the key findings. Concluding the workshop, a Question & Answer (Q&A) session commenced with Mr. Muhammad Ata as the moderator. Joining him on stage were Ms. Debbie Wang, Mr. Michael Pan, Mr. Shrikanth Sankar and idsMED Group President Mr. Rufi Susanto, who addressed questions from the audience.

As evening approached, the rest of the colleagues from the Singapore office gradually streamed in to participate in the team building presentation by Mr. Danny Pradhana, Vice President - Human Resources, further reinforcing the spirit of cohesiveness and togetherness.

This was followed by Mr. Rufi Susanto, who began his Group President address by reminding everyone that idsMED not only distributes medical equipment and devices, but is instead the bridge between innovation and care, delivering solutions across 6 countries that impact thousands of patients. He reiterated that every individual’s presence is significant in making a difference in the healthcare industry. He advised everyone to place focus on what they can own, such as proactively providing customers with credible solutions and taking pride in the work they do.

Ending his address, he showed everyone a video illustrating the meaning of resilience and that owning small wins helps build momentum. Given the ever-changing landscape in the healthcare industry and the world, it is evident that adapting to change and, with grit, obstacles can be overcome, enabling the realisation of long-term goals.

As everyone settled in the ballroom for a night of connection over a delicious meal and drinks, the host called upon them to participate in a lineup of fun activities, which covered competitions and dancing showdowns, capturing everyone’s attention and bringing them to their feet.

Seated on a high stool at the centre of the stage was Ms. Ashley Lim, Marketing Communications, who played her guitar while performing top hits that everyone is familiar with, contributing to an overall sense of calmness and soothing vibe.

As the night drew to a close, the top 3 lucky winners were announced, and they walked away with attractive prizes which they received from Mr. Rufi Susanto.

The success of ACM 2025 is credited to the solidarity and high engagement of idsMED Singapore members, who energised the atmosphere for an uplifting evening!

Thank you to the organising committee for their effort in ensuring the success of yet another ACM!
