On 30 September 2017, IDS Medical Systems Thailand Ltd. together with Sattahip Nature Education Center marked the start of a new project called: “idsMED Thailand to Protect Mangrove Forest 2017”. The project which saw a number of idsMED staff participated as volunteers is an initiative that aims to bring the forest back to life by planting young mangrove plants along the shores of Sattahip.
The activity, which was hosted by Mr. Bruce Hemmingsen (Managing Director and Vice President of idsMED Thailand) and Mr. Paithoon Purithip (Vice President-Medical Solutions), brought the opportunity for around 100 idsMED staff volunteers to plant 140 mangrove trees to help conserve the environment and raise awareness of coastal resources. idsMED Thailand also made donations to Sattahip Nature Education Center which will be used to repair and restore the bridges along the mangrove forest. This is how we protect our land from being soaked by the sea.
