On 5 March 2026, Dr. Somruk Chungsaman, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), opened the academic conference on developing the potential of administrators of regional and general hospitals for the fiscal year 2026. The event was held at Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Phetchaburi Province.

From 5–6 March 2026, the idsMED Thailand team participated in the annual meeting of the Association of Regional and General Hospital Directors, where approximately 300 hospital directors and executives from across the country attended. At the exhibition, the team presented selected medical solutions within a 1.8-metre booth, including GE ultrasound systems, GE patient monitors, Nihon Kohden ventilators, and the Wellell Optima Prone Mattress. These products are among the medical equipment solutions listed for procurement under the MOPH medical equipment purchasing programme.

During the exhibition, the team had the opportunity to briefly introduce the solutions to Dr. Somruk Chungsaman and accompanying officials. The presentation highlighted how certain technologies, such as GE Voluson ultrasound systems, could support MOPH’s strategic initiative of “One Region, One Province, One Labour Room.” The Voluson portfolio includes a range of models designed to support different clinical and budgetary requirements.

The team also learned that MOPH is exploring initiatives to optimise ICU capacity by transferring stable patients to community hospitals and establishing smaller ICU units at those facilities. Solutions such as GE patient monitoring systems may help support this approach, and the team will continue engaging with healthcare professionals to understand their needs.

The exhibition also provided an opportunity to engage with hospital directors from across the country to discuss their upcoming plans and budget considerations.
The participation was supported by Mr. Kriangsak Phuwangcharoentrakul (Golf), Senior Product Sales Specialist – Central & West; Ms. Phurichaya Poolsiri (Fern), Product Sales Specialist II – West; Ms. Siriwan Pathomaem (Bow), Product Sales Specialist II – West, along with the middle and back-office teams for their support.
