Expert Meeting III: Stunting Reduction Acceleration

The Indonesia HealthCare Forum (IndoHCF) organised “Expert Meeting III: Stunting Reduction Acceleration” in commemoration of the 63rd National Nutrition Day on 15 March 2023. This event was brought together by different government offices and medical associations. Headed by The Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (KSP), together with the Association of Indonesian Nutritionists (PERSAGI), Association of Indonesian Public Health Experts (IAKMI), Indonesian Health Consultants Association (IKKESINDO) and supported by idsMED Indonesia, the event was held at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta, and it attracted around 100 participants.

Dr. dr. Supriyantoro, SpS. MARS., Head of IndoHCF/IKKESINDO and Budi Gunadi Sadikin – Indonesian Minister of Health gave the opening remarks. As the meeting’s primary agenda was the acceleration of stunting reduction in Indonesia, the event optimised the opportunity to review government policies related to stunting and recommend several ways to prevent it.

Experts from the Ministry of Health, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Indonesia (Kemenko PMK), the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN), the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) were invited to attend the meeting.

With this event, it is hoped that more effective policies and strategies will be created and implemented immediately and help to prevent stunting in Indonesia.
