80% Patients Satisfied With The Quality Of Health Check-Up At Northern Hospitals

In Jun 6-7/2019, the Conference of Northern Hospital’s Director Club was taken place in Hanoi. Attending the event was the participation of 1.500 delegates who are workings as the member of hospital BOD.

That was such a very positive result reported by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien – Minister of Health in the Conference of Northern Hospital’s Director Club. The conference was organized to evaluate 5 - year plan implementing the improving patient-care services, behavioral culture and ethics at healthcare centers, clinics, hospitals; quality management; patient safety… All topics were focused to patients to improve satisfaction, safety and quality in the fully self-controlled context and social health insurance of Northern hospitals.

In the past 5 years, the management in hospitals accomplished many achievements. Besides the significant increase of satisfaction index (80%), meanwhile, corruption index at cottage hospitals has decreased dramatically (according to UNDP report) from 9% in 2017 to 0,4% in 2018. The proportion of hospital meet the standard of green hospital requirement was 60,7%; 80% of hospitals have installed standard toilet system. However, there are some weaknesses such as: Overworked staff, poor service quality, complicated administrative procedures.

In the framework of the conference. the minister did stress out solutions and achievement goals for the upcoming stage.
