On 14 February 2026, the Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kardiovaskular Indonesia (PERKI) hosted the Jogja Cardiovascular Epidemiology and Prevention Forum 2026 at Artotel Suites Bianti Yogyakarta. Held under the theme “Integrating CVD Risk Stratification in All Levels of CVD Prevention,” the forum provided a platform for healthcare professionals to exchange insights, review recent scientific developments, and strengthen collaborative efforts to address cardiovascular disease in Indonesia.

The program covered a broad range of topics related to cardiovascular prevention and management. Discussions included cardiopulmonary assessment, exercise stress testing modalities—such as treadmill and ergocycle protocols—and the evolving role of biomarkers in early detection and risk prediction. By emphasising an integrated approach to risk stratification, the forum highlighted the importance of applying evidence-based strategies across primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention to improve patient outcomes.

idsMED supported the event through a dedicated workshop that presented advanced diagnostic technologies for cardiovascular evaluation in clinical practice. The session featured the GE CASE V7+ T2100ST2 and an ergocycle system (Ebike), demonstrating their applications in exercise stress testing and cardiopulmonary diagnostics. Participants were introduced to tools designed to support accurate data acquisition, enhance patient safety, and streamline workflows in cardiovascular testing environments.

The workshop was attended by approximately 40 participants, including cardiologists, internists, nurses, and cardiovascular technicians. The multidisciplinary participation encouraged interactive discussions and knowledge exchange. Attendees also gained insights into stress testing protocols, device integration, and the clinical interpretation of diagnostic results, highlighting the role of technology in evidence-based cardiovascular care.

A key highlight of the forum was the discussion on implementing updated stress testing guidelines, particularly the growing role of ergocycle-based protocols in clinical practice. Compared with traditional treadmill testing, ergocycle methods may offer advantages for certain patient groups, including enhanced safety, more controlled workload progression, and greater suitability for patients with mobility limitations.

Through its participation, idsMED reaffirmed its commitment to advancing cardiovascular healthcare by supporting continuous medical education and fostering collaboration among healthcare stakeholders. The engagement also strengthened partnerships with clinical professionals and reflected a shared goal of enhancing cardiovascular care standards across Indonesia.
