If you follow medical aesthetics news, you would have heard of Coolsculpting by ZELTIQ, the cryolipolysis device that took the world by storm a few years ago. Many celebrities swear by it but in truth, no one size or one type of technology fits all.

The idsMED Aesthetics body team has a few new hot and cold devices to help reduce fat, so “Hot or Cold? Overview of What Works for Fat Reduction” was a mandatory topic for discussion. Other equally intriguing topics that were discussed include “Beyond the ‘Fat’ Body: Cellulite and Stretch marks Management,” combination treatments, and the Business Model of Managing Body Aesthetics. The full-day program also included live demos of Cutera’s latest dual frequency radiofrequency (hot) device, the trusculpt 3D, Lutronic’s non-contact radiofrequency (hot) device enCurve, and Classys’ latest ultrasound and cryolipolysis devices the Scizer and Clatuu Alpha (cold). The team believes that everyone is different, therefore it is essential to have a variety of technology to help doctors combat different types of stubborn fat.

Cutera trusculpt 3D
truSculpt 3D is a new, nonsurgical radio frequency device designed to sculpt and contour the body. On average, patients who’ve had this treatment have experienced an average of 24% reduction in fat thickness* in a single treatment.
Lutronic enCurve
The enCurve is the easy and comfortable way to reduce fat cells permanently through apoptosis-inducing radio frequency. The special energy penetrates deep into the tissue, targeting the fat cells deep within our tissue. The optimal temperature is reached in order to cause the cell to denature, or break apart, so that it can be removed through your body’s natural processes.

Classys Scizer
The Scizer is a non-invasive body contouring procedure that uses High Intensity Focused Ultrasound to melt and destroy fat cells (necrosis) in the subcutaneous layer where stubborn fat resides. A lunchtime procedure, it yields results almost immediately after treatment and gradually over a period of 4-12 weeks.
Classys Clatuu Alpha
Equipped with an advanced 360° Surrounding Cooling technology with applicators molded to fit all areas of concern, the CLATUU Alpha features a revolutionary approach to absolute, non-invasive neck and body contouring through stable, more powerful freezing capabilities. Each cooling applicator is engineered to target the subcutaneous fat layer without damaging surrounding tissues or nerve regions.

The conference closed off with Josh Chua from Malaysia’s Clique Clinic imparting words of marketing wisdom to doctors. Some doctors still struggle with managing clinics, especially body clinics, so hopefully they found Josh’s session on driving successful practices useful.

After months of hard work, the Medical Aesthetics team’s efforts paid off as the 1st Body Aesthetics Conference seemed to tick all the right boxes for the doctors. The team received positive feedback as the doctors found the conference educational and very informative. Cheers to a great start and to many more conferences to come! Go team!
