The White Matter Dissection Course covers an in-depth exploration on the anatomy and function of white matter tracts in the context of neurosurgical practice, including cadaveric dissections demonstrations and hands-on practices. These theoretical and practical sessions are significant particularly in surgery for brain tumours and brain mapping.

The 3rd Edition of the White Matter Dissection Course was held on 5-6 July 2024 at the Anatomy Hall of the National University of Singapore. This neurosurgical event was organised by the Division of Neurosurgery and Department of Anatomy from the National University Hospital, Singapore.

This year, the course featured Dr. Pablo Gonzalez Lopez, a renowned expert from Hospital General Universitario de Alicante, Spain. The event was organised by Dr. Teo Kejia and Dr. Nivedh Dinesh from the National University Hospital, Singapore.

Over 20 participants comprising consultants, fellows, and registrars from Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia attended the course. The participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the topics through engaging in discussions and hands-on dissections with Dr. Pablo Gonzalez Lopez. This unique opportunity allowed attendees to directly apply their learning in practical scenarios.

idsMED Singapore showcased neurosurgery-specific products at the event, with the Field Sales Specialist (FSS) and Medical Specialty Care (MSC) teams manning the booth. By participating in targeted educational events like this, idsMED Singapore continues to understand the specific needs of the different medical fields apart from providing the necessary support.
