Education on infection prevention is vital in all healthcare settings, where inadequate hygiene practices can increase the risk of infections. When infectious diseases spread quickly, they can escalate into widespread outbreaks. Whether at home, in the workplace, or in hospitals, infections affect overall well-being and add challenges to the safe and effective delivery of healthcare.

On 14 November 2025, idsMED Singapore participated in the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) Infection Control Day, themed “Environmental Care: Individual Impact, Collective Change.” Held at the SGH Academia Auditorium, the event welcomed staff from across SGH and NHCS, including medical, nursing, allied health, ancillary, and administrative teams. The initiative also supported International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), emphasising the importance of sustained awareness and best practices.

At the idsMED booth, a selection of Ecolab and Ansell solutions was presented, allowing attendees to learn about product features and applications through direct interaction with our Clinical and Product Specialists. These solutions spanned key areas of infection prevention, including environmental hygiene and hand protection. The event also provided hospital staff with opportunities to refresh their knowledge and enhance skills essential to maintaining effective infection prevention and control.

Such meaningful and interactive engagements strengthen collaboration between idsMED and healthcare professionals as we work together to advance infection prevention and promote a safer, healthier environment. idsMED Singapore expresses its appreciation to SGH for the partnership and acknowledges the efforts of the SG team for their continued dedication.
