From 7/1 to 10/1, idsMED Vietnam and Medtronic collaborated with the National Hospital of Pediatrics to organize “Ventilator Training Class" for doctors at the hospital. The training course is scheduled to last in 4 days, including 2 days for theory and 2 days for practicing directly on the patient.

Nowadays, most of medical unit are well equipped with modern ventilators. However, the implementation still faces many difficulties. At the training session, it was shared that doctors are still lack of skills to operate modern ventilators, and the knowledge they earned was not well-organized. Therefore, the training class’s main purpose is to update and improve the knowledge for physicians.

The training session focused on such topics as: mechanical ventilation strategy for a number of pediatric medical conditions, waveforms of mechanical ventilation methods, side effects and complications of mechanical ventilation, pressure breathing characteristics positive and mechanical ventilation methods for children and PRVC breathing mode (VTPC)... This is a valuable opportunity for doctors to cultivate knowledge, thereby improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for children in particular and patients in general.
