The subject was about “The preliminary conference of 5 years in implementing the service attitude of medical staff towards the patients’ satisfaction - a clean & green hospital; improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; reforming of financial - health insurance procedures in the South”

Attending the Conference were Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Minister of Health, Head of the Central Committee for Protection of Health Care; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien, Deputy Vice Minister of Health; Dr. Pham Luong Son, Deputy General Director of VSS; Assoc. Pham Le Tuan, former Minister of Health and more than 1,000 delegates who are leaders and specialists of Departments, Offices and units under and under the Ministry of Health; Government office; Police; Vietnam Health Union; Department of Health, hospitals and related units in the South.

Quality changes in the southern healthcare center last year were significantly related to patient satisfactions. Dr Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Minister of Health reported at the conference that 83.7% patients satisfied with the treatment quality in 2018. Corruption index in cottage district was dropped from 9% in 2017 to 0,4 in 2018, 60,7% of hospitals have achieved a thoroughness of cleaning rate, compared to 49% in 2017. However, there are some limitations such as old hospital infrastructure, attitudes of service staff, complicated payment procedures…

Addressing at the event, Dr Nguyen Thi Kim Tien focused on solutions to improve health examination and treatment quality for better patient experience in the upcoming years.
