Strengthening Community Care for Aeta Families in Tarlac

In February 2026, idsMED Philippines supported the Aeta community in Sitio Katipunan, Tarlac, through its Together in Care initiative. On 28 February 2026, 37 volunteers conducted a feeding program and distributed donations to 125 families. In partnership with the Aeta Ako, Pilipino Ako Foundation, the outreach reflects a continued commitment to community support.

Driven by its commitment to care and the belief that every life matters, idsMED Philippines supported the Aeta community through Together in Care: One HEART for the Aeta Community of Sitio Katipunan in Tarlac, North Luzon. Throughout February, employees contributed cash donations, pre-loved clothing, blankets, and grocery packs.

On 28 February 2026, 37 employee volunteers travelled from Manila to Tarlac to assist in distributing donations and supporting the feeding initiative.

In partnership with the Aeta Ako, Pilipino Ako Foundation, the outreach reached 125 families, benefiting nearly 350 individuals from Sitio Katipunan and Sitio Bunga in Barangay Bueno, Capas, Tarlac. Sitio Katipunan remains among the more underserved communities in the area, with limited access to essential resources.

Volunteers arrived at approximately 8:00 AM and began organising supplies, preparing meals, and arranging donated items for distribution. The program opened with remarks from Ms. Klien Agaton, Deputy Manager from the Human Resources Department, followed by a welcome message from Pastor Toy Ramoz of Katipunan Methodist Church.

Community members registered for food and grocery distribution and were served meals prepared by volunteers, providing an opportunity for engagement and interaction. This was followed by the distribution of clothing and grocery packs to families.

The outreach concluded with a group photo, marking the shared experience between volunteers and the community. The initiative reflects idsMED Philippines’ continued commitment to supporting communities through care, collaboration, and sustained engagement.
