The 10th IMPACT 2026 (Indonesian Meeting of Perfusionist Association), organised by the Indonesian Perfusionist Association (IPA), took place on 25–26 July 2026 at Mövenpick Hotel Jakarta City Centre. Held under the theme "Advancing CPB for High Risk and Complex Cardiac Surgery," the scientific meeting brought together experts, practitioners, and perfusionists from across Indonesia to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and explore the latest developments in cardiovascular perfusion.
Over the two-day programme, participants attended a series of scientific sessions covering the latest techniques, technological innovations, and evolving strategies for managing high-risk and complex cardiac surgeries. The event also provided a valuable platform for strengthening collaboration among healthcare professionals, with a shared focus on improving the quality of cardiovascular care in Indonesia.
Demonstrating its continued commitment to supporting healthcare advancement in Indonesia, idsMED participated in the event through workshop sessions, symposium presentations, and an exhibition booth.
At the exhibition, idsMED showcased a range of technologies designed to support modern perfusion practice, including the Heart-Lung Machine Essenz, ECMO, and the Autotransfusion XTRA. The exhibition also provided opportunities for meaningful discussions with healthcare professionals on addressing clinical challenges and enhancing patient care through innovative solutions.
A key highlight of the event was the hands-on workshop featuring the Heart-Lung Machine Essenz. Perfusionists explored the system’s features, engaged in interactive discussions, and gained practical insights into its operation through a series of case studies prepared by the organisers.
The strong engagement throughout the workshop reflected participants’ enthusiasm for learning about emerging technologies and their applications in a range of clinical scenarios. Approximately 175 perfusionists attended IMPACT 2026, fostering a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange and professional collaboration.
idsMED’s participation in IMPACT 2026 underscores its commitment to supporting the continued development of Indonesia’s perfusionist community. By fostering collaboration and promoting innovative technologies, idsMED aims to advance cardiovascular perfusion practices and the delivery of high-quality cardiac surgical care.
