Challenges of Managing a Mechanically Ventilated Patient Outside Critical Care Unit

Managing mechanically ventilated patients outside critical care unit has always been a key challenge for specialists and staff involved. Incompetency issue with staff; lack of suitable ventilator / associated equipment to be used in those area and ventilated patient that is not cooperative are the few challenges that is commonly faced. We have Dr Naeema from Anaesthesia Department, Hospital Sungai Buloh to share about the challenges in managing  ventilated patients beyond critical care area and also be sharing tips and tricks in improving management of patients in this situation.

Master in Anaesthesiology in Universiy Malaya.
Dr Naeema also has been working in Hospital Seremban, Hospital Klang, PPUM and now currently in Hospital Sungai Buloh to serve as Anaes Specialist.
