The Indonesian Society of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (HBTKVI) held its 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (PIT HBTKVI) on 14–15 August 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta.
As HBTKVI’s annual scientific gathering, the event brought together healthcare professionals to exchange clinical insights, explore developments in thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery, and discuss approaches to the evolving demands of clinical practice.
The scientific programme covered a broad range of topics, including paediatric cardiac surgery, with a focus on the Ross Procedure; adult cardiac surgery, including minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) mitral intervention; and thoracic surgery, including video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). The programme also featured practical sessions on chest tube insertion, basic suturing and knotting.
Supporting the event’s focus on clinical advancement, idsMED participated through a symposium and exhibition booth, showcasing a range of medical solutions, including HLM Essenz, Autotransfusion XTRA, Solventum, ECMO and Redax. The booth attracted interest from approximately 600 participants, including thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery specialists, residents (PPDS) and general practitioners.
HLM Essenz was among the key highlights, drawing particular interest for its technology and features designed to support clinical requirements in cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. The engagement with participants highlighted the continued interest in medical technologies that can support healthcare professionals in delivering effective and high-quality patient care.
Through its participation in PIT HBTKVI 2026, idsMED continues to support the exchange of clinical knowledge and access to medical technologies, strengthening its engagement with healthcare professionals and contributing to Indonesia’s evolving healthcare landscape.
