Hands-On Evaluation of the MP-1000 System

From 19 to 22 January 2026, idsMED, through its dedicated Robotics Team, successfully organised and conducted a comprehensive hands-on test drive session for the Edge Medical MP-1000 at KPJ Ampang Puteri. The session was designed to provide surgeons and medical practitioners with a practical, in-depth understanding of the system’s advanced capabilities within a simulated clinical environment.

Through guided demonstrations and hands-on interaction, participants were able to evaluate the MP-1000’s functionality, precision, and operational efficiency, enabling them to assess its potential application in enhancing clinical workflows and supporting improved patient care outcomes. The event was attended by surgeons and medical practitioners from various hospitals, who engaged directly with the system through live demonstrations and guided hands-on trials.

During the test drive, participants explored the system’s precision, intuitive controls, and workflow efficiency, gaining clearer insight into how the technology can support surgical accuracy and improve procedural outcomes. Feedback from attending doctors was positive, with emphasis on the MP-1000’s user-friendly interface, enhanced control, and potential to reduce procedural complexity. The hands-on experience allowed practitioners to visualise real-world applications, assess clinical benefits, and build confidence in the adoption of robotic-assisted solutions.
