MD’s Townhall

12th June 2020 - Although many of us are still working-from-home amidst the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, the working spirit at idsMED Malaysia is still very much lively as it does not stop us from doing our best while we are at work.

Most Malaysians are back to work during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) implemented by the government. With that in mind, the management has taken proper steps in adhering to the Disease Control and Prevention measures which includes temperature-taking, mask-wearing, surface disinfecting, hand sanitizing and social distancing.

As we are adjusting to ‘The New Normal’, the MD’s Townhall was conducted in-office on the 12th June 2020. As the distanced sittings can only accommodate up to 50 people in the hall, some of us tuned to the MD’s Townhall session via MS Teams.

The MD’s Townhall was spearheaded by our Senior Director, Mr. Ainul Hasnizam to update on the Financial Overview for year 2020 and The Way Forward for Operational Excellence within our company. The Operational Excellence was presented with Four (4) Pillars: Trusted Partnership/Collaboration, Product Branding & Positioning, Operational Excellence and Customer Service Improvement.

These initiatives were carefully crafted to ensure the business goals are aligned and met, improved communication with the stakeholders, better working flow, improved customer experience and further business expansions.

The Analysis and Summary of the Pulse Survey were then presented by our Managing Director (MD) Dr. Adzuan Rahman. This initiative was conducted by Mr. Shawn Ling from the HR Team to gauge the employees’ satisfaction, productivity and overall working attitude. The management was very pleased to find that most of the questions scored above the 80% mark.

Moving forward, IT Manager Ms. Vivian Cheng highlighted on the technological updates that the IT Department is working on to further improve and upgrade our technological needs.

Shawn shared the HR Initiatives that he has been working for the benefits of the staff in idsMED Malaysia.

  1. Nescafe Beverage Machines
    • Placed each unit of the beverage machines at the pantry on 1st and 2nd Floor.

  1. Birthday Vouchers
    • The management is gifting RM50 Aeon Vouchers for all the birthday babies effective 1st June 2020. The voucher will be presented with a birthday card signed with wishes by the senior management, HR and the respective employees’ reporting superior.

 

  1. Birthday Celebration
    • Birthday celebration for all employees will be held everyone during the MD’s Townhall.

 

  1. Reserved Parking
    • Two (2) parking spaces will be reserved for permanently/temporary disabled employees, pregnant women/expectant mothers and post-hospitalized and in-recovery

 

  1. Get Well Gifts
    • The management will be expressing their best wishes by extending bouquets of flowers and fruit baskets to any employees who has just given birth or any employees who is in the midst of going through a surgery, illnesses or any other health complications.

 

  1. Funeral Wreath / Token
    • The management will arrange for a funeral wreath or cash (whichever is deemed as appropriate in accordance to the respective employee’s culture) when the management is being notified of the death of an employee’s immediate family member.

 

  1. Wall of Appreciation
    • The idea of the Wall of Appreciation is to promote a Culture of Appreciation and to keep everyone connected through all the idsMED 5 other branches: Penang, Johor, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak.

 

Shawn is currently still in the midst of working on other benefits for the employees of idsMED. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Shawn for all these awesome additions!

Then it was time for the Raya competition winners’ announcement. Since we are still adjusting to ‘The New Normal’, our Raya celebration was held in a new manner too. This year’s Raya that was held on the 5th June 2020 was conducted via MS Teams and packed lunch was provided thereafter.

 

The Raya Craft Contest were opened to all staff under two (2) categories: Individual and team. The winners are chosen based on their creativity and rationale behind their crafts. Despite celebrating Raya via MS Teams, the spirit of Raya were shown by the colourful Raya costumes, but only 1 Best Dressed Winner were selected for male and female.

And finally, the birthday celebration for the June babies wrapped up the MD’s Townhall.

Our Principal Consultant Ms. Wan KL decided to make a heartwarming speech to thank our MD, Dr. Adzuan for the job well done on the significant improvements made for idsMED Malaysia.
