On 5 May 2023, idsMED Singapore hosted its Annual Country Meeting (ACM) at the Rendezvous Hotel Singapore. The event lasted an entire day, during which the management team and department heads actively participated in an intensive workshop. Later in the evening, the entire team enjoyed a delightful dinner which created an opportunity for bonding and camaraderie.

During his opening address, Mr. Shrikanth Sankar, Managing Director & SVP for Singapore, shared his reflections on the key takeaways from the country’s performance for FY2023, the expectations for Budget FY2024, and the top ten Imperatives for the Singapore team. He reiterated the focus on beating Budget FY2024 through the excellence of execution in delivering solutions for customers. Moreover, he reminded everyone that staying together as a TEAM is crucial to consolidate idsMED’s position as a key player in the Singapore healthcare ecosystem.

The morning session continued with the OPC Leads and Department Heads, Mr. Michael Pan, Director – Medical Solutions; Ms. Eileen Lim, Senior Manager - Imaging, Dental & Clinics; Ms. Jess Kong, Manager - Medical Aesthetics; Ms. Law Lay Pheng, Director – Medical Specialty Care; and Mr. Ho Choon Leong, Manager – Engineering, who shared very valuable insights on the success stories as well as the key imperatives for their respective areas.

After a short break, Mr. Srikant Lal, Managing Director (Designate) – Group BSC, resumed the workshop together with Mr. Edward Poon, Senior Manager – Operation & RFM; Ms. Katherine Teo, Director – Finance; and Ms. Regine Chua, Manager – Human Resources, who shared their expert strategies to win in their respective areas of responsibilities.

To conclude the workshop, Mr. Rufi Susanto, idsMED Group President, reiterated the need to treat the company as an important part of life, as long as everyone is wearing the idsMED jacket. In other words, be ALL IN in everything and do things wholeheartedly.  He asked the team to be selfless and accept the fact that more will be demanded from all members, as idsMED continues to work on leading change in the healthcare industry and building a company that lasts. He also reminded everyone to always prioritise their own happiness before making others happy – knowing that our impact goes beyond the office walls, extending to our homes. As such, regarding idsMED as a home where everyone contributes towards creating a positive and enjoyable working environment can help foster happiness while working alongside each other. In addition, appreciating each member’s contribution can also further strengthen this bond.

Mr. Rufi also highlighted that every member is significant in ensuring the success of each part of the business. For example, though the FSS team is responsible for bringing in revenues, colleagues working in the middle and back offices are key to providing the support that FSS needs. In conclusion, the team was reminded that as resilient and talented individuals, we have the grit to push forward together, and create an impact in the healthcare industry!

As the afternoon progressed, both the team bonding and group activities further emphasised the importance of team cohesion whilst working towards a common goal, and to contribute efforts collectively as a unified team towards the targeted results.

Towards the evening, the rest of the Singapore colleagues started to arrive for a night of bonding over a delectable dinner and various fun activities – which covered competitions and a treasure hunt, raising everyone’s spirits to a high note.

Apart from the agenda of the ACM, the night was also dedicated to Ms. Cheng Lu Lu – previously helming the HR department, who has been with idsMED Singapore for over 48 years. An appreciation video and a framed photo collage of her wonderful years in idsMED were shared. She was also presented with multiple bouquets of flowers by various management team members.

The night ended with a special gift – a heart-warming video dedicated to all team members in idsMED Singapore, directed by Rufi. After the video, Rufi shared an enlightening message about the importance of respect and to learn from colleagues who have been with idsMED for many years.

The ACM 2023 certainly filled the idsMED Singapore members’ hearts and stomachs, and the team enjoyed the event as one big family!

Kudos to the organising committee for their tremendous effort in ensuring that the ACM was carried out successfully!
