idsMED Singapore’s Leng Leng, Kia Wei, Angeline and Chris organized a Valentine’s Day launch for Paramount’s Espacia, winner of 2018’s Good Design Award.

The Espacia is a bed used in hospitals and long-term care facilities. It has a built-in fall prevention alarm system that detects movement and Nemuri SCAN that can easily record the user’s sleep-wake activities just by placing it under the mattress. The Espacia’s functions can be operated through a “Bed Navi” unit, reducing the caregiver’s workload. In addition to these functions, the Espacia also has a back raise mechanism, allowing legs to be lowered in a sitting position and enabling the user to stand up safely, and a CPR function allowing the bed to a flat position quickly.

The product launch kicked off with Mr. Takamasa Kogure, General Manager of Paramount Bed Sleep Research Laboratory, sharing his thoughts on the risk of insomnia and how it affects health and well being, and visualizing sleep with Nemuri SCAN and improving workflow, quality of life and safety, followed by the introduction of the Espacia. After a brief tea break, networking session and product demonstration, our very own Leonard Ling, Managing Director – Solutions@Work, closed the event by sharing his expertise and demystifying job and process redesign.

A huge thank you to the organizing team and to everyone who helped make this launch an incredibly successful one.
