Technology in Infection Control and Prevention

idsMED Singapore’s Infection Control team organized their second symposium on Technology in Infection Control and Prevention on 27 August 2019. Held at Singapore’s Grand Hyatt Hotel, the session included topics on innovation, new trends and best practices.

The afternoon event began with a networking and lunch session with more than 50 CSSD professionals followed by an introduction to the Infection Control team and idsMED by our Managing Director Vasanthi S. The symposium also featured 3 speakers from our partners Terragene, ECOLAB and Sterimed.

The first speaker was Dr. Alien Arias Barreto, a Product Specialist at Terragene. He shared his thoughts on Innovation in Technologies for Infection Control. The second speaker for the day was Houssem Boukadida, Hospital Market Team Director at Sterimed. He shared his expertise on Identifications and Traceability of Surgical Instruments and New Trends in International Norms for Sterile Barrier System Packaging. The last speaker of the day was Benoit Biousse, an Export Manager at ECOLAB. He gave an Update on Environmental Hygiene and Best Practices for Infection Control.

The symposium was extremely successful as participants were actively engaging the team at the 3 exhibition booths. Congrats to the team!
