Endoscopy is a medical procedure that allows doctor to inspect, observe and do therapeutics procedures for the internal organs and vessels of patient body without performing major surgery. Endoscope consists of thin lighted fiber optic tube with a lens at one end and a video camera at the other. Images of the inside of the body are relayed to a screen. It helps to visualize any abnormalities, such as inflamed tissue, unusual growths, bleeding, or other conditions in identifying problems in the lungs, stomach, and lower digestive tract.
