The idsMED Singapore Aesthetics team held a facial lifting and volumizing conference for the launch of Lutronic’s Genius and the first-ever Ultraformer User Meeting on 31 October 2019 at The St. Regis Singapore.

The conference began with dinner and networking before co-developer of the Genius platform and Lutronic Corp. R&D Center’s CTO Mr. James Bartholomeusz took the stage to introduce what some doctors have described as “a new paradigm in RF energy delivery”.

Before the Genius, sagging skin that has lost elasticity and tissue structure would have been treated with procedures/products such as the Sculptra (Poly Lactic Acid (PLLA)), facelift surgery, fillers, Thermage, Ulthera, etc. With the loss of elasticity and tissue structure, the most ideal solution is to help skin produce collagen and hyaluronic acid – something only the Sculptra can do. However, treatment with the Sculptra is very technique dependent, and there is a high risk of bruising and potential nerve damage. With Lutronic’s Genius, practitioners can now treat their patients safely and effectively thanks to Lutronic’s proprietary technology. Genius’ energy-based “filling” can help produce the patients’ own full complement of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

After James’ segment on the Genius, Gladys Cheng, Managing Director – Medical Aesthetics, gave attendees an update of educational workshops, marketing activities, conferences and more that the local and regional teams have organized/taken part in. Our emcee for the night Jess Kong then kicked off the second part of the conference by introducing Dr. Kim Yoojeong, Representative Director of Jouvence Plastic Surgery Clinic in Korea, and inviting her to share the Korean Experience with the Ultraformer. This included key updates and, as the team would remember, secret techniques that Dr. Kim used to get fantastic results.

Following Dr. Kim’s session, our panel of experts including Dr. Kim, Dr. Chew Khek Kah, Medical Director of Nu.u Aesthetics and Wellness, and Dr. Justin Boey, Medical Director of Sozo Aesthetic Clinic, took the stage to share their best practices. The night ended with an awards ceremony honoring the Top Ultraformer Users in Singapore. They were:

Dr. Sim Kwang Chuor from Aesthetics Works
Dr. Tan Ying Zhou from Mizu Aesthetic Clinic
Dr. Justin Boey from Sozo Aesthetic Clinic

Congratulations to the winners, and to the idsMED Singapore team for a very successful event. Cheers to the Genius being the next talk of the town!
