The session was led by Ms Lee Woan Lin (Caryne), a nutritionist and food coach from Minmed. Drawing on her expertise in dietetics, weight management, heart health, and diabetes care, Ms Lee shared practical tips on lowering sodium intake. She discussed common issues related to sodium consumption, including hidden salt in processed foods, sauces, and beverages. She emphasised that Singapore faces a widespread issue of excessive salt consumption, which can lead to high blood pressure and other long-term health problems.
The session saw active participation from the 29 employees present. Many were eager to ask questions regarding their current consumption patterns and whether they were considered sufficiently healthy and balanced. Ms Lee shared many insights and answered the questions with a balanced and realistic approach, emphasising informed decisions and simple adjustments over strict dietary rules.

They appreciated the opportunity to seek clarity on their nutrition concerns in an interactive and supportive setting.
Overall, the Lunch & Learn provided a relaxed yet informative environment for employees to learn, ask questions, and bond over a meal, reinforcing idsMED Singapore’s commitment to supporting employee health and well-being in meaningful, practical ways.
