idsMED Singapore Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival

Events with engaging activities provide opportunities for employees to have fun, take a break from work, and interact with one another in a casual setting. idsMED Singapore’s HR team has been ramping up its efforts in organising various internal activities for the staff to participate in.

On 29 September 2023, the idsMED Singapore family gathered to joyously celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at the office lounge area. The festivities included a variety of mini games and a generous spread of light refreshments. This vibrant event was attended by 35 staff members, 15 of whom voluntarily participated in the mini games. Although the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the “Mooncake Festival”, is traditionally a Chinese custom, all colleagues wholeheartedly joined the celebration.

The mini games were thoughtfully chosen by the HR team for their cultural significance during the Mid-Autumn Festival. These three fun games were blindfolded mooncake eating, pomelo peeling, and "blow the balloon". Each item used in the game was symbolic of the festival.   Mooncakes symbolise family unity and completeness, pomelos symbolise good fortune and happiness, and the balloons used in the games were meant to represent the moon, where a larger balloon depicts a bigger moon.

The games concluded with the awarding of prizes, where festival-related snacks were presented to all winners. Following this, the staff bonded over delightful mooncakes, refreshing pomelos, and some Chinese tea.
