idsMED Singapore had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Leonard Lane, Senior Lecturer at the University of California, Irvine - Paul Merage School of Business, and the Executive MBA (EMBA) Class of 2025 on 5 September 2024 at the idsMED Singapore office. The EMBA Class, comprising a diverse and dynamic group of 38 middle to upper-level leaders, came to Singapore for their EMBA class.

This visit offered a unique opportunity for the EMBA class to analyse how Singapore’s competitive strengths and policies impact and interact with regional and global business dynamics.

The class engaged in live case studies, lectures, and consultations with various companies as they embarked on the intense on-the-ground experience. Additionally, they visited startups, established corporations, as well as governmental and non-governmental organisations.

On their visit to idsMED at the Learning Academy, the session began with an introduction by Mr. Shrikanth Sankar, SVP & Managing Director of idsMED Singapore on the key trends in the Singapore healthcare sector as well as idsMED’s market position as ASEAN’s Leading Medical Distribution and Supply Chain Solutions Company.

Mr. Shrikanth Sankar highlighted the ageing population in Singapore and the various government initiatives that help Singaporeans manage a healthy lifestyle. For example, the Healthier SG is a national initiative introduced by the Ministry of Health (MOH) that aims to help all Singaporeans take steps toward better health and quality of life in the coming years.

Another example is the Healthy 365 app where Singaporeans are encouraged to download and discover programmes, resources, and other features to help them embrace a healthier lifestyle.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session covering topics such as the provision of innovative solutions to healthcare workers, warehouse storage and logistics of medical equipment and idsMED’s sustainability efforts.

The exchange of knowledge provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the success stories of Singapore’s healthcare sector and the key competitive strengths which can help shape the future of healthcare and business on a global scale.

With this insightful learning experience, idsMED wishes the class success as they continue their EMBA Programme!
