On 15 January 2026, idsMED supported the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, in organising the Basic Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop at the idsMED Learning Academy. The workshop aimed to strengthen the skills of medical professionals, particularly in enhancing clinical decision-making in emergency settings.
The event featured experienced speakers in emergency medicine, including Dr Aji Wicaksono, Dr Muhazan, Dr Nurul Shaliza, Dr Ahmad Suhailan, and Dr Nor Hayati. The speakers shared practical insights and clinical experiences aligned with real-world emergency care needs.
Under the theme “Strengthening Emergency Decision-Making,” the workshop covered key POCUS topics, ranging from physics and knobology to airway, lung, and focused cardiac ultrasound. A total of 26 emergency medicine students participated in the programme and were also introduced to idsMED’s flagship products, including SIUI Ultrasound and VSCAN SL.
In addition to the theoretical sessions, participants gained hands-on experience through direct practice using the ultrasound systems provided. This practical component was designed to reinforce both knowledge and technical skills, supporting faster, more accurate, and evidence-based decision-making in emergency care.
