From 26 to 30 January 2026, the idsMED Robotics Team conducted a hands-on test drive session for the Model Edge Medical MP-1000 at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Kebangsaan Malaysia University. The session was attended by senior surgeons and served as a focused platform for clinical evaluation and professional exchange.
Designed to provide a practical understanding of the MP-1000’s robotic capabilities, the programme combined live demonstrations with hands-on use. Surgeons evaluated the system’s precision, stability, and control, gaining insight into how robotic-assisted technology can enhance surgical accuracy, improve workflow efficiency, and adapt to different procedures within a real clinical setting.
Key observations included the system’s potential to enhance procedural consistency and operative confidence, supported by its ergonomic design and intuitive interface. These features may help reduce physical strain during longer procedures and support more efficient operating theatre workflows.
The engagement highlighted the MP-1000 as a robotic solution aligned with evolving surgical needs, reflecting idsMED’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the advancement of patient care.
