idsMED Vietnam and Lima Corporate’s Joint Training Program on

The Da Nang Hospital International Scientific Conference 2023, organised by Da Nang Hospital on 28-29 September 2023, brought together 700 delegates from healthcare facilities nationwide at the hospital premises. This conference witnessed both local and international participation of nearly 100 professors and leading experts in the medical field.

idsMED Vietnam played a key role at the conference by partnering with Lima Corporate to organise the training program titled "Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty" at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of Da Nang Hospital. Dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and enhancing practical skills, this program attracted over 50 orthopaedic surgeons and specialised doctors in orthopaedic trauma from various hospitals in the Central region.

The training program offered a comprehensive curriculum that allowed attendees to expand their knowledge of the techniques in reverse shoulder arthroplasty through the following presentations and sessions:
• "Expanding Indications for Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty" by Dr. Shin Sang Jin - President, Joint and Spine Center, Director, Ewha Shoulder Center, Ewha Women’s University Hospital, Seoul, Chairman, Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society
• "Artificial Joint Replacement for Proximal Humerus Fractures" by Dr. Phan Dinh Mung - Deputy Director of the Orthopedic and Traumatology Institute, 175 Military Hospital
• Hands-on practice of shoulder arthroplasty on a sawbone model.
• A live surgical demonstration of a reverse shoulder arthroplasty case by Dr. Shin Sang Jin and Dr. Phan Dinh Mung offered attendees a unique and insightful learning experience.

The success of the workshop was underscored by the high compliment it received from the attending delegates. The program’s high content relevance, applicability, and practicality were recognised and commended, reaffirming idsMED’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge and expertise in the field of orthopaedics.
