From 3–4 May 2026, idsMED Thailand, led by its Cardiovascular Ultrasound (CVUS) team, provided comprehensive support for the launch of the GE Vivid Pioneer at SO/ Bangkok. The event marked a significant milestone in cardiovascular ultrasound in Thailand, serving as the official launch of the GE Vivid Pioneer ultrasound system.
Designed to “Discover the Extraordinary”, the Vivid Pioneer introduces a new era of precision imaging, workflow intelligence, and clinical confidence, purpose-built for modern cardiovascular care.
The exclusive event brought together leading cardiologists from across Thailand, invited by the idsMED sales team nationwide. Over two days, participants engaged in educational sessions, real-world clinical discussions, hands-on experience, and peer collaboration opportunities.
The official product launch countdown took place on stage on 3 May. GE HealthCare also organised a discussion forum titled Echocardiography at a Crossroads: Clinical Practice, Technology and the Next Decade, featuring Prof Erwan Donal, Prof Marta Sitges, A/Prof Tugba Kemaloglu Oz, Kimberly Fister, Laurent Desherbais, and leading Thai cardiologists.
On 4 May, a full day of lectures and hands-on training sessions allowed cardiologists to experience the capabilities of the new GE Vivid Pioneer system firsthand. The Live Clinical Imaging Workflow Sessions included:
- Station 1 – TEE: Mitral, Tricuspid and Aortic Valve Imaging
- Station 2 – TTE: Live Scanning Session
- Station 3 – CT Fusion Cases
- Station 4 – LAA and AV Sizing
The successful execution of the event reflected the strong collaboration and preparation efforts across multiple teams. The sales team coordinated invitations nationwide, Office Services managed travel arrangements for cardiologists from upcountry locations, and the Marcom team provided VIP hospitality services, including airport reception and guest support.
