idsMED Singapore Hosts Executive MBA Class of International Business Leaders

idsMED Singapore had the privilege of hosting Prof. Leonard Lane and the Executive MBA (EMBA) Class at the idsMED Learning Academy on 7 September 2023. Prof. Leonard Lane, a Senior Lecturer from the University of California, Paul Merage School of Business, led his EMBA class to Singapore for their International Residential program from 3 – 9 September 2023. The EMBA class comprised a diverse and dynamic group of 35-37 middle to upper-level leaders.

During this program, the participants embarked on an intense on-the-ground experience. They engaged in live case studies, attended lectures, and consulted with various companies. Singapore, being known for its vibrant business environment, served as the ideal location for this program, and offered a unique opportunity for the EMBA class to examine how a country’s competitive strengths and policies impact and interact with regional and global business dynamics.

The EMBA class visited startups, established corporations, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations.

During the class visit to idsMED Singapore, guest speaker Dr. Jeremy Lim, Associate Professor and Director of the Leadership Institute for Global Health Transformation (LIGHT) at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, delivered an insightful presentation on the Singapore healthcare sector. He compared it with the US healthcare system and highlighted Singapore’s government initiatives such as Healthier SG and AgeWell SG. 

The session included an interactive Question & Answer (Q&A) session moderated by Prof. Leonard Lane and idsMED Singapore’s Managing Director, Mr. Shrikanth Sankar. This Q&A session covered a wide range of topics including Singapore’s COVID-19 management experience, senior care, healthcare worker shortages, and idsMED’s market position as ASEAN’s leading Medical Supply Chain Solutions Company.

This collaboration between Prof. Leonard Lane, Dr. Jeremy Lim, and idsMED Singapore created a powerful learning experience that effectively bridged the gap between theory and practice. This event exemplified the importance of knowledge exchange in shaping the future of healthcare and business on a global scale. The participants gained enhanced perspectives on global businesses and a deeper understanding of the success stories of Singapore’s healthcare sectors and their key competitive strengths.
