15 and 16 April 2023 saw idsMED Singapore participate in the Asia Primary Angioplasty Congress (APAC) 2023 held at the Novotel Singapore on Stevens. APAC is the first dedicated primary angioplasty meeting in the region, where the focus is on saving lives from ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).

STEMI is a type of heart attack that is more serious than the usual because there is a higher risk of death due to serious complications.

As with previous years, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from various countries conducted a series of lectures covering most aspects of primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). The lectures were accompanied by a “heart-to-heart” discussion on some of the recent controversial topics such as aspiration thrombectomy, choice of antiplatelet agents and choice of stents.

The logistics of performing primary PCI in developing countries and initiatives to improve Door to Balloon time (D2B) were highlighted during the event.

In addition to the lectures and discussion, participants were able to view and learn more about the PCI-related devices that were on display at different booths. idsMED Singapore’s FSS Sales and Medical Specialty Care team were present to conduct product demonstrations to assist the participants with the understanding of our products.

idsMED’s participation at the APAC 2023 was a great way to interact with the users and obtain feedback from them. Keep up the good work, Team idsMED SG!
